Gary’s New Venture

Those of you who have followed our ministry for any length of time will know that Gary Barkalow’s passion is Calling – helping people find the very thing God meant them to do, teaching them how to discover it, walk in it, fight for it. Of all the things Gary has done for Ransomed Heart, what most excites him is anytime he gets to talk about Calling.

About two years ago, Gary began to take some risks to move even more deeply toward his own calling. He let go of a lot of the administrative load he had been carrying for Ransomed Heart, and began to move towards the very thing that makes his heart come alive. Over the past few months, taking some sabbatical time, Gary came to an even deeper realization: “I’ve got to do this full time.” So, Gary is leaving Ransomed Heart in order to launch out in a full time life devoted to Calling. It’s beautiful, really, because this is the core of his message to others: You’ve got to follow your heart. You’ve got to do what God made you to do.

We’re sad, and we’re thrilled. Sad to lose the day-to-day interaction with Gary. Thrilled he is taking this step. It’s right. There is so much more to say, of course. The story itself is really good to hear, and so we’ve recorded our conversation with Gary to let you in on that story.

Just exactly all that Gary will be offering you through his new venture is not yet ready to be announced, but as soon as it is we’ll let you know. For now, I know Gary would be very grateful for your prayers as he walks with God and gives himself to Calling full time.
