Next Event: Friday, June 26, 2015 - Come join other young women in their 20s and 30s for a life-giving time filled with a Socratic Scripture Study and some tasty treat munching!  Events are offered once a month.  (Contact Mandy via www.empoweringranch.com/contact for location details.)  Participants are encouraged to bring a Bible and a notepad or journal.  There is a $5 suggested donation for these events to help cover the cost of treats, etc.  Please RSVP for any gathering.

For those wondering "What is a Socratic Scripture Study?"...

A Socratic Scripture Study entails a small group diving into a specific passage of the Bible and exploring the richness of it by looking at some of the wildly expansive and beautiful Hebrew and/or Greek meanings of words as they appear in the original text and then connecting the passage to their lives. (The leader does the research and prep surrounding the meanings/significance of the key words and ideas in the passage.) While traditional Bible studies often involve one person doing most of the speaking, a Socratic Scripture Study involves the leader guiding the time of study through the frequent use of questions which encourages participants to share their insights, stories, and revelations from God with the group.
